  • Amiqus has secured the top spot as the recipient of the Legal Technology Award at the Scottish Legal Awards 2023.
  • To celebrate its award win, Amiqus will donate £1,000 to The Scottish Refugee Council for every new account opened in October.

The 20th annual Scottish Legal Awards have recognised Leith-based scale-up Amiqus as winners of the Legal Technology Award 2023.

Amiqus has experienced significant growth over recent years, partnering with 9 out of the top ten volume Scottish law firms and over 500 firms across sectors throughout the UK.

This approach to sustainable and purposeful growth garnered recognition by Deloitte in 2022 when Amiqus was acknowledged as the fastest-growing tech company in Scotland, delivering almost 2 million checks to support compliance processes for people moving homes, securing new jobs and accessing regulated products and services online.

Gregor Angus, Senior business development manager at Amiqus, commented:

“The Scottish Legal Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of those working in and supporting the legal sector. We’re delighted to have won this award particularly based upon the scale of and the respect we have for the other finalists. This recognition from a panel of independent judges is fantastic, and is a testament to the hard work and effort of everyone across our teams at Amiqus.”

As Amiqus continues to scale across sectors and countries, the company remains committed to investing in and supporting the legal profession, which formed the basis of its early adopting client base. Amiqus has a longstanding partnership with the Law Society of Scotland and, as a result, a longstanding commitment to ensuring that firms of all sizes can fulfil their regulatory obligations with Amiqus’ support.

In celebration of its award win, Amiqus will make a donation of £1,000 for new accounts opened over October to support the company’s charity partners at The Scottish Refugee Council. This contribution will assist in their vital work of integrating and settling the families of asylum seekers and refugees in Scotland.
