About the role

We’re looking for a senior People professional to  join our team in this newly created role, overseeing the People team, with a specific focus on learning, development and progression within Amiqus. As well as overseeing the team and various people strategies, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and nurturing our company culture while leading strategic initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent. You will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive learning and development programs that enable employee growth and drive business success. 

In addition, some of the key responsibilities will include:

People lead: 

  • Management of the People team, including supporting them to develop, mentoring and guiding them when required 
  • Collaborate on people related strategies and projects to enable the organisation’s growth strategy and lead on or contribute to a range of varied strategic People projects, from values and culture to talent management
  • Report to leadership on related people outcomes and initiatives, providing input to Board meetings as and when required

Learning, development and career growth

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with business objectives and employee needs
  • Improve our employee onboarding and offboarding experience, in line with business objectives
  • Identify learning gaps and development opportunities through collaboration with managers and employees, continuously improving our competency framework and progression map 
  • Manage our performance and development process (annual reviews etc) alongside our Senior P&C managers
  • Design and implement innovative learning programs, including onboarding, leadership development, technical skills training, and soft skills development
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of training programs, including curriculum development, delivery, and evaluation
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to managers and employees to reinforce learning and development initiatives
  • Evaluate and implement learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of learning programs
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in learning and development technology
  • Train and support users on learning tools and platforms
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the company
  • Promote and encourage participation in learning initiatives, particularly promoting our employee benefits relating to L&D
  • Measure and track the impact of learning and development programs on employee engagement, retention, and performance, this includes management of our current learning and development budget/days. 
  • Generate regular reports and analytics to assess the ROI of learning and development investments and inform future strategies

About you

The key skills required to carry out this role:

  • Extensive experience in a similar, progressive role, with a focus learning and development
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech company, with proven knowledge in supporting the development and growth of new and existing employees
  • Great presentation skills with confidence to present to senior leadership and the board when required 
  • Experience implementing, using and managing L&D platforms and HRIS, Personio would be a huge plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Proven track record of driving culture change and implementing successful People initiatives, especially relating to learning and development and career progression
  • CIPD certification at L5 or above
