About the role

Working within our newly formed Key Accounts team, this role will have a focus on designing new features and upgrading existing features of our current and future Amiqus products. 

In addition, some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Create and validate insight-informed design solutions to meet customer, end users  and business goals.
  • Identify the most effective design processes, tools and methodologies in collaboration with colleagues and other product designers. 
  • Use user workflows, wireframes and prototypes to communicate product-line concepts, narratives, and experience value propositions.
  • Own the end-to-end user journey and all aspects of design execution, from ideation, through prototyping and user testing, to final production. 
  • Communicate regularly with project partners to gain alignment, resolve issues and articulate the business value of design activities.
  • Partner with marketing, operations, product, and tech teams to create great tech products and user experiences within an Agile cross-functional environment.
  • You will lead product design in projects within your team and rapidly iterate designs and functionality, collaborating with colleagues to achieve Sprint goals. 
  • Deliver final UI design, concepts, flows and prototypes.
  • You will interact with our customers in product discovery sessions to better understand the space and problems you’re solving. 
  • Developing unique, feasible consumable product solutions which deliver added value to our existing customers, new customers and end users.

About you

At Amiqus, product designers work closely with researchers to understand and investigate the problems and issues our users face. They then ideate and design best ways to solve them. A product designer is responsible for the design of a product, based on direction from business goals and objectives from product management.

The Product designer will translate research, feedback and insight into ideas, concepts and designs that will help us create useful, usable, and delightful new products and features for people as well as continually innovating on our existing products.

  • Proven, substantial experience in a similar role within product design.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and teams.
  • Experience working closely with product management and engineering professionals to make collaborative decisions while championing design, usability and user experience.
  • Ability to adapt to a scaling, changing environment and use this in your stride to make key design decisions. 
  • Strong product design background with mastery of methodology, tools (i.e., Sketch, Figma), and techniques needed to drive business and human value.
  • Understanding of accessibility principles, and experience of applying accessibility best practice to designing desirable, usable products.
  • Thorough grounding in principles, methodology and practices of digital product design with proven hands-on experience in a working environment, i.e. UX design, UX research, interface design, mobile app design, interaction design, and/or branding.
  • Optional: An understanding of capabilities and limitations of technologies that are used to create powerful interactive experiences eg; HTML / CSS.
