Improving vulnerable groups’ access to regulated services
Scottish Refugee Council (SRC) provides practical support and advice to refugees and asylum seekers, assisting some of the most financially and socially vulnerable people seeking safety and starting a new life in Scotland.
Amiqus has joined hands with SRC to support their initiatives and help community groups across the country access online services and opportunities, by fundraising, collaborating and providing laptops and IT equipment.
Sustainable and repeatable private-sector fundraising
With more than just one-off, ad hoc fundraising, Amiqus will work with the SRC over the next two years and use it’s expertise and resources to remove complex barriers and digital exclusion faced by displaced people.
In doing so, Amiqus is creating a model, that other scaling companies across the UK can replicate to engage with the third sector.
“It’s wonderful to acknowledge the support of Amiqus to the Scottish Refugee Council over three years with the support of its staff, their fundraising endeavours and much-needed IT equipment for our beneficiaries. It’s extremely encouraging to see that a variety of actors in our communities across Scotland, are pulling together to support refugees and asylum seekers as new Scots, while they navigate their way through what is an extremely difficult and stressful time of their lives”
