Who we are

We’re Amiqus, an award-winning tech for good company headquartered in Leith, Edinburgh. Our international team actively advocates flexible remote working, living wage employment and new economy thought leadership. Our values inform every decision, big or small, because that’s not only the right way to do business, but the smartest. We believe in growing our company through a clear set of missions and by putting our people and the public interest first.

What we do

We make market-leading software that helps to make professional services more accessible. The Amiqus platform lets organisations manage their onboarding and compliance in a range of sectors remotely, with hundreds of businesses having used Amiqus to help maintain business continuity during the various phases of lockdown in 2020 and 2021. So whether you’re hiring a new member of staff or carrying out due diligence in bulk for a new client, Amiqus covers the full range of identity and financial status checks needed.

Lightening the load for accountants and their clients

Amiqus enables you to request, verify and review the progress of individual identity and financial status check requests from one online account. Clients can complete checks at home or at work, using their own device, without the need to fill in paper forms or to provide paper copies of personal documents in person.

Step 1: Request

Using a secure link, an accountant or administrator sends a request for checks to a client by email.

Step 2: Verify

After receiving the link, the client can then undergo a range of identity and financial status checks from the convenience of their own device.

Step 3: Review

Once checks are submitted, the administrator receives a report for their decision within your Amiqus account. All data, documentation and results are stored, encrypted and backed-up online with digital audit trail and the same process can be used to send checks to colleagues too.

Audits will be a breeze

Amiqus is built and maintained to Cyber Essentials+ and ISO 27001 standards, securely holding all documentation and data in one place. You can even provide view-only access to auditors, which means no more last-minute panics — audits will be a breeze.

Our software is accessible, affordable and can be scaled and deployed to integrate with any size of accountancy firm, enabling you to deliver a market-leading client experience. We continuously improve Amiqus through over-the-air updates in line with the latest regulatory changes: helping your firm to comply with the latest anti-money laundering and data privacy standards.

Giving back

In line with our commitment to using business as a force for good, at at time that’s seen local authority budgets squeezed and charities lose over 40 per cent of their income, we’re also using our technology to enable both ProxyAddress and the Scottish Tech Army to deliver their services.
