Amiqus is delighted to announce our membership with the Cyber and Fraud Centre Scotland (CFCS).

As a born and bred Scottish company, Amiqus is proud to be working alongside other amazing organisations across the country and, in the case of the CFCS, ensuring that the fight against cyber and fraud attacks is highlighted and understood across all organisations and industries.

This collaboration already involves our GRC and Security Lead, Peter Montgomery, working with the CFCS to deliver workshops and best practices on Third-Party Risk Management and our team attending the recent Cyber and Fraud Hub charity event at the Scottish Parliament buildings.

Peter commented on this partnership, stating:

“Having spoken with the team over at CFCS, particularly Jude and Daniel, over the last few months and supporting webinars driving security best practices and the charity Hub, this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside some amazing individuals. There are so many incredible benefits to joining the CFCS and collaborating with an amazing team; we are looking forward to working together.”

What is the Cyber and Fraud Centre Scotland?

The Cyber and Fraud Centre Scotland is Scotland’s only cyber social enterprise.

CFCS’s mission as a socially driven organisation is to deliver accessible, affordable, and relevant cyber and fraud services. With its dedicated team, CFCS protects organisations all over Scotland by offering professional services, skills, and community building.

This aligns with Amiqus’ core mission of providing an accessible and affordable legal advice and services platform for everyone.

Why is this important?

Now, more than ever, organisations’ security, legal, and compliance responsibilities are being highlighted. Recent cyber attacks have targeted several high-profile organisations.

The partnership with the CFCS goes beyond just networking and highlights Amiqus’ commitment to our clients on the high standards, expertise and collaboration across security and compliance.

This allows us to stay ahead of the curve, engage with and build trusted partners and deliver for our clients.

Our approach to security

At Amiqus, security isn’t just a feature; it’s a fundamental part of how we operate.

We’re continuously re-certified against industry-leading standards like ISO 27001:2022, the UK Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework (DIATF), and Cyber Essentials Plus (CE+), reflecting our dedication to protecting data and upholding privacy and security best practices.

To maintain this standard, we undergo several external audits annually, rigorously testing our systems and processes alongside our penetration testing and vulnerability scanning programme.

Our in-house SARC (Security, Assurance, Risk and Compliance) team works closely with our clients’ information security, cyber, and compliance teams to ensure alignment and transparency.

We also partner with DRATA, a market-leading compliance automation platform, giving our clients a centralised view of our certifications and framework oversight.
